I’ve been piercing for about three years, and have discovered most people only want you to give them a piercing if you can tell them you’ve done “lots” of that exact piercing before on other people. That makes a lot of since from the point of the person getting pierced, however makes it hard for a newer piercer to learn the more unique procedures. A lot of piercers probably have wives/girlfriends willing to get practiced on, but in my case my wife hates pain and is not a huge piercing fan. My first piercings started with, naturally, my ears. One set on the lobes, then a 2nd, then after two attempts of a 3rd set professionally ( both times they were given infected ) I ultimately did them myself after getting an eyebrow piercing when I was 13, a lip ring the subsequent year, and my tragus the next. . I assumed this would be the end of my piercings, as my mum would not allow the uvula and after a bit I lost interest, but then I found another want : the nape. Well, I had been looking on for a piercing that I could get for months, and the nape was one of the ones that truly came to my attention. I required a piercing that I could hide from my mummy, because I do not believe she’d actually approve of me having another piercing after she found out about my 0gauge ear.

An Eyebrow piercing is the thicker strip of tissue across and above the eye.
Typically pierced from above the corner of the eye, and inwards. Avoid piercing the eyebrow too near to the bridge of the nose as there’s a risk that you may pierce into a nerve cluster and this damage could cause partial muscular paralysis in the face. The opening jewelry is regularly a Ball Closure Ring or a barbell. Neither need be any more than 2mm bigger, in diameter or length, than the thickness of the eyebrow itself. Micro jewelry can be employed but increases the examples of migration or refusal. Customarily 1.6mm gauge jewelry is acceptable.
